This Winchester manufactured second variation spring cover (aka loading gate) is for the later model 1873 lever action rifle which attaches the spring cover screw from the inside and is in very good condition exhibiting a mixture of thinning original fire blue finish (on protected areas) with a brown patina and light wear.
